  • It's been a while since we updated this latest news so below is a summary of the most recent updates. A description of these with some screenshots is available AT THIS LINK.
  • fixed the check for updates menu item. Please select Online > Check for Updates to make sure you are up to date with the current version
  • added new league rules and updated others
  • The information on the Run Event screen has been updated. We've moved a few things around to make the information easier to find and read. Connecting to a timing system has been updated/consolidated. You will now notice a large button right above the leaderboard that you can click to get access to the various timing systems you can connect to. We also changed the area showing the scores needed by the current diver to catch specific places. Formerly we showed the total number of points needed by the current diver. For those mathmatically challenged we have updated that to now show the actual judges awards needed to catch that specific place.
  • When running an event, if 1 or more judge awards have been entered, you will not be allowed to change the Dive number, DD or board level. You must first clear all judge awards and then make your change to the dive number, DD or board level.
  • We have a new and improved integration with Daktronics Omnisport timing systems! eDive now supports BOTH a serial Omnisport connection AND the Network version of the Omnisport. The entire interface/connection has been updated to make it simple to connect. No more having to upload your event to the timer. Nothing to upload, no other software needed ... just hit the connect button and you're done! This new integration also allows you to run ANY kind of event you want. If the event runs in eDive then it will run thru your Omnisport AND it will show up on your scoreboard! Combining multiple events with different number of rounds? No problem. Combining events and splitting them across different boards? No problem!
  • Daktronics changes: For a Serial connection please plug your Serial cable into the Omnisports EXPANSION port. For a Network connection make sure Networking is enabled in your Omnisport and you have an active network cable plugged into your Omnisport.
  • We have updated how eDive connects with other timing systems. We've made the whole process simpler to implement and use. How you connect to these systems on the eDive run event screen has been simplified to make it easier to find and use.
  • we now have the capability to allow you to mix and match judging pads! Want to run a 5 judge event using your Daktronics or Colorado scoreboard but only have 3 judging pads? No problem! Just connect those 3 pads and then grab 2 people with iphones and connect eJudge for the remaining 2 judges! All 5 awards will show up on your scoreboard.

You can cut divers by their score at the end of a user-specified round or by their rank at the end of a specified round. So for example, you could cut to the top 16 at the end of round 5. Or you could cut all divers with a score <= 125.55 at thend of round 8. If you are running a combined event, please be aware that the cuts are made at the individual event level.

Please note that cutting a diver from this screen will mark them as cut for every round in that event.

  • When connected to a Colorado, if a different dive number is received from the Colorado than what the current diver has in eDive, then a warning popup will be displayed. Previously eDive just updated the current diver with what the Colorado sent.
  • if you unregister a diver then eDive will now update the diving order for the other divers in the event to remove the hole left by the diver you just removed. This only applies if a diving order has been set for that event.
  • Export eDive Data now allows you to specify a custom filename to save the exported data in. So if you are exporting data from a table computer to your master computer, then change the filename to represent the table it came from.
  • Import eDive Data allows you to choose to only import events that have scored diver sheets when selecting the MERGE option. This prevents unscored events from a table computer from overwriting unscored events on your master computer.
  • imported events that have been completed will have their results posted once the import process is complete. If that completed/scored event already exists in your database then the results will not be imported or posted.
  • when using eJudge, the authorization code/pin is now fixed for each event. Previously each time you opened the run event screen for an event a new pin would be generated. Now the pin will remain the same each time you open the run event screen for an event.

Checking that box will load the new external leaderboard. This leaderboard is designed to be displayed on a 2nd monitor attached to your computer. Once loaded it will show all non-cut divers in the event. Clicking the "gear" icon in the upper right will allow you to change the font size to make the text bigger so it fills the screen. There are also buttons which will push the external leaderboard to your 2nd (or 3rd) monitor. They look like little monitors. The extra monitor attached to your computer needs to be configured as an additional monitor in order for this to work. If it can be recognized then the 2nd and 3rd monitor icons will be green. If eDive cannot find the extra monitor then the 2nd and 3rd monitor icons will remain red.

In the last hotfix two of the report files were installed to the wrong directory. To correct the problem the file "ResultsOfficial.rpt" and the file "ResultsUnofficial.rpt" need to be moved from "C:\Program Files\eDive" to the directory "C:\Program Files\eDive\Reports". This will update your unofficial and official results reports. When you move the files you may be prompted to overwrite existing files. Please select YES to that prompt. If you have any difficulties please contact technical support and we can walk you through the process. The current hotfix download has this issue corrected.

eDive is used at AAU Nationals for a second year in a row!!
eDive was again the choice of the AAU to run their most important event of the year, the 2006 AAU National Diving Championships. We had over 400 athletes competing on two 1 meters, two 3 meters and the platform ... ALL AT THE SAME TIME!! We had 5 judging panels all using electronic scoring pads created by the meet host. eDive was quickly adapted to integrate with their custom judging pads AND their custom scoreboard. A tremendously successfull event !!

    2.4 USD Novice rules
Due to a re-interpretation by US Diving of the US Diving rules the Novice 14-15 1m & 3m and Novice 16-18 1m & 3m rules have been changed. The phrase "no more than 2 dives being from any one group" applies to only the optionals (the last 5 dives). This hotfix updates the library used to validate these rules. To determine if you have the current version please select Help/About from the main menu. Then click the "Program Info" button. For the item listed as "Rule set for USD Novice events" the Version number listed should be "1.7.1 Build 006". To download and apply this hotfix please visit our downloads section.

USD/FINA Team and Championship license users please read
if you have a USD/FINA Team or Championship license and you cannot see the FINA rules when you go to add an event to your meet, please contact technical support.
